Independent, artist-led films

Hi, I’m Robert Iolini. I make art music and independent films, and together with creative producer Emi Morita, I’ve created the ART e FACTs Film Series.

Our films are speculative, philosophical, and playful, combining drama, mystery, and science fiction. They follow curious, intelligent protagonists navigating worlds not so different from our own.

The series explores how creativity shapes the way we live, and what happens when authority and power structures are questioned or reimagined. Our characters grapple with these real-world concerns using methods that are often unorthodox, but carefully thought through.

Their stories suggest that even complex problems can be approached through creativity, critical thinking, and access to the right knowledge. At the same time, the films acknowledge that such knowledge is rarely straightforward or easily available.

Like the characters in our films, we took an optimistic and pragmatic approach to developing and producing our first feature, ART e FACT. The film was made independently, with close creative control and a deliberately modest production model.

We continue to operate independently, focusing on high-concept ideas that can be realised with high production quality on limited budgets.

ART e FACTs is being developed as a shared universe, one film at a time. ART e FACT, the first film in the series, has been made available through this website as part of an independent, artist-led distribution approach, prior to any formal premiere or platform release.
